LEWISVILLE — Northbound Interstate 35E has reopened at State Highway 121 in Lewisville Friday morning after a major accident involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck.
The two-vehicle accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. and both vehicles to caught fire. The driver in the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries.
However, the 18-wheeler driver suffered only minor burns and was not seriously injured.
At this time, it isn’t clear how the accident happened or if any charges will be filed.
