Volunteer Firefighter and his two Children Killed in Accident Near Lavon

Via cbsdfw.com – A Nevada Volunteer Firefighter Captain was killed along with his two kids in a crash just south of Lavon near Rettop Street at State Highways 205 and 78.

The department out of Lavon confirms Peter Hacking died in the head-on collision.

DPS says a van swerved into the northbound lane striking a gray sedan with Hacking and his children inside.

Hacking is being remembered as a beloved father, husband and firefighter, according to a brief news release from the Nevada Volunteer Fire Department.

The people inside the ban were rush by air ambulance to Medical Center of Plano.
