Bus Accident in Fort Worth Injures At least 10

Ten people were hospitalized with minor injuries Saturday morning after two charter buses collided on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth.

The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Meacham Boulevard, a little south of North Loop 820. About 110 people were in the buses, according to reports from MedStar, Fort Worth’s ambulance service provider.

Fort Worth Police Department spokeswoman Tracey Knight said there were no major injuries, and MedStar reported that 10 people were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital. Information about the cause of the wreck was not immediately available.

All lanes of southbound I-35W were temporarily closed at the scene of the crash but have reopened.
