Via nbcdfw.com: Princeton- The westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 380 were closed in Princeton for several hours Wednesday due to a head-on collision that left one person dead. Princeton police told NBC 5 an SUV was traveling east from Central Expressway toward Lavon Lake when the vehicle crossed the center line hitting a sedan traveling west.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene while the SUV’s driver was transported to the hospital. No word yet on their names or the cause of the crash.

via SanAngelolive.com: Three people were killed this past Friday morning in a horrific fatality accident. According to the Texas DPS, a 2008 Ram Pickup was traveling north on US. 83 near the Concho and Menard County line. Meanwhile a 2004 Nissan Maxima was traveling south on the same roadway.

DPS noted that this section of U.S. 83 near where the crash occurred reduces from two lanes in both directions with a grassy median down to a single lane both directions.

The Ram pickup driver, Jasus Ruben Villegas, 24, of San Antonio, lost control, DPS reported. His truck veered across the centerline and into the oncoming lane of traffic. The Nissan, driven by Linda Faye Russell, 58, of Doole, didn’t have time to evade a head-on collision with the passenger side of the Ram.

LEFORS, Texas (AP) — Three people are dead and two critically injured after one SUV crashed into another at an intersection in rural West Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash occurred Saturday afternoon near Lefors, about 65 miles (105 kilometers) northeast of Amarillo. DPS says the 29-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe was unable to avoid a Chevy Equinox that did not yield the right of way at a stop sign and entered the intersection in front of the Tahoe.

Authorities identified the three killed as 72-year-old Wesley Lewis of Elk City, Oklahoma, and 79-year-old Mildred Garza and 79-year-old Alverto Garza, both of Leedey, Oklahoma.

HARTLEY COUNTY, TX (via KFDA) –

1 man has died after a two-vehicle accident on US-385 in Hartley County.

Wednesday around 2:35 a.m., Stanley Smith, 78, of Dimmitt, was driving a Saturn Ion south on US-385 when a Freightliner semi crossed over into the southbound lane and side-swiped the Saturn causing extensive damage to the driver side.

GuestandGrayLogoCORSICANA (via CBSDFW.COM) – According to DPS officials, crews were called to a two-vehicle crash on I-45, one mile south of FM 1603 near Corsicana around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Official say a 2004 Chevrolet Express van entered the northbound lanes of I-45 traveling south. The van struck a black Hyundai Elantra that was traveling north on I-45 in the left lane.

The driver of the Hyundai, 29-year-old Robert White of Denton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, 28-year-old Amber Little of Denton, was transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas with serious injuries.
