FORNEY, Texas (via inForney.com’s Mathew Richards) — Westbound U.S. Highway 80 is closed at Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 in Forney due to a jackknifed 18-wheeler. Luckily, no injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash was reported just after 11 a.m., on the heels of a separate wreck involving an 18-wheeler.

First responders are reporting heavy guardrail damage with a portion stretched across one lane of the highway. The 18-wheeler is blocking the other lane of the highway — forcing a complete closure.

FORNEY, Texas (via inForney.com) — One person was airlifted from a crash north of Forney on Sunday afternoon.

A single-vehicle crash was reported just after 2 p.m. on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 north of Travis Ranch Boulevard.

A person was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and a Careflite medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene. FM 740 was briefly closed while emergency personnel worked to airlift the injured person to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition.

FORNEY, Texas, via inForney.com: — A woman was critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck on Broad Street in Forney on Thursday morning.

According to Mathew Richards at inForney.com, around 6:07 a.m. a female was crossing Broad Street on foot, around McGraw Street, when she was struck by an F-250 pickup truck, according to police.

The driver of the pickup truck did stop and is cooperating with police. He is not expected to face any charges in relation to the accident.

via inforney.com: KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — One person was killed and three others were injured early Friday morning after an 18-wheeler swerved to miss a cow on State Highway (SH) 34 in a rural area between Terrell and Kaufman in Kaufman County, Texas.

The accident occurred around 4 a.m. when the 18-wheeler, a United Van Lines moving truck driving southbound on SH 34 swerved to miss a cow in the road. The 18-wheeler overturned, crossed the northbound lane, and struck a line of trees and a barbed-wire fence.
